At that time Brosix supported the most popular options: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brosix.com\/blog\/aol-instant-messenger\/\">AIM<\/a>, ICQ, Windows Live Messenger, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brosix.com\/blog\/yahoo-messenger-alternatives\/\">Yahoo Messenger<\/a>, Facebook and Google Talk.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 5 years, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brosix.com\/blog\/instant-messaging-apps\/#What_is_Instant_Messaging\">Instant Messaging sector<\/a> has changed dramatically. Some providers closed their publicly available interfaces, others just disappeared. These processes are out of Brosix\u2019s control, and as a result we cannot offer this feature at the high-quality level that we hold ourselves to.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, <strong>as of April 1st we will be discontinuing our Multi-protocol \/ External protocols feature<\/strong> which allows users to communicate with contacts on other IM networks.<\/p>\n<p>We are committed to bringing our community more important features that will help them <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brosix.com\/blog\/office-communication\/\">improve their office communication<\/a>.
